Congratulations to Phil Sosalla as the 2026 EMGA Match Play Champion!! Phil outlasted Don Knight, 2up, in an exciting battle that went back and forth.
We started Match Play with 69 players, 16 flights, and then round robin matches to get to our final 16 players that went to the Knockout Rounds (attached). Flight winners won $21.36, the first two rounds of the knockout paid the winners $10 each, the semifinal paid $20 to the winners and the final champion won another $20.
Match Play, along with Ike Cup and Ringers, make up our Season-long Tournaments. If you’re interested in joining any of them for next year, please be sure to sign up when you send in your annual dues for next year.
Tim Marburger will be the Season-long Tournaments Chair for 2027 and will be coming out over the winter with additional information.
