Attached are the Tee Sheet, Alpha List, and Rules for tomorrow's ABCD Shamble, Thurs, 13 Aug, with an 0800 shotgun start on the on the Blue course.
We are short one “D” player. If your handicap index is 21.0 or higher and you want to play, please send me an email.
Your Foursome GGID is: (If no number, you are NOT on the Tee Sheet)
Please review the full rules carefully—there are some changes from last year. The team score is a combination of the best two net scores of any of the team players, based on the format outlined in the rules. A key change this year is each team will have a Team Captain. The Team Captain is the A Player. If any team player reaches the point on a hole where his ball cannot be one of the two best net scores, the Team Captain will ensure that player picks up. For example, the B and C players have putted out and have net pars. The A and D players are putting for net bogey. Since the A and D players cannot have one of the two best net scores, they will pick up, record an “X”, and the team will move to the next hole. The Team Captain will also ensure no more than 3 minutes is taken to look for a lost ball. Since this is a Shamble format, no scores will be posted to GHIN.
Unregisted Walk-Ups:
On the day of the tournament, since this is an ABCD event, we will only add walk-up players to the tournament if there is an open slot within the range of the walk-up player’s HC Index. For example, if an A player walks up with a HC Index of 8, and the only open slots are for D players where the range of HC Indexes is in the upper 20s and 30s, we will not field the A player.
Range Opens: 0630
Sign-in: 0645-0730
Call to carts at 0745
Shotgun start at 0800
If you are scheduled to play and can no longer make it, please let the Tournament Committee know as soon as possible. If you want to play, please send us an email and we will see if there’s an opening.
The Sign-In tables will be in The Grill and open at 0645. Please ensure you sign in before 0730 if you want to participate. The members manning the sign in tables are volunteers and need time themselves to hit the range before call to carts.
Also, if you have not signed in by 0730, you do run the risk of losing your slot to a walk up. We strongly recommend all players focus on pace of play. Our goal is to complete the round in less than 4.5 hours.
A TC member will be in the Silver dining room on the second floor of the club house to receive your score cards after play.
Thanks,
Your EMGA Tournament Committee
