Members,
The enclosed link is a USGA video that breaks down what a Net Double Bogey is and how to calculate it.
It’s super important that you get a good grasp of your Course Handicap, which is not the same number as your Handicap Index. Think of it as the number of handicap strokes you’re getting. You can find your course handicap in many ways, but the two easiest ways to find your course handicap is either through the Golf Genius app on the day of play or the GHIN app, by plugging in your course and tees.
After watching the video you now know how to calculate which holes you're getting your handicap strokes on and how to figure out your net double bogey. Also, the Golf Genius app will also show which holes you're getting handicap stroke(s) on by either one or two dots. As a player, you should also mark it on a paper scorecard.
Net Double Bogey becomes very important to understand when we move to Stableford scoring. If anything’s unclear, please don’t hesitate to ask—I’m happy to help you out!
Thanks.
