Members,

Several of you have approached one or another Board member to see about incorporating the combo tees into our play.  We have considered it and will run some trials in the month of October during our last three OPCs to see how this would all play out.  The idea is to have fun while playing competitive golf from a set of tees that work for you.

What we’ve identified below is a way-ahead for our OPC play.  Additional discussion is underway for our Tournament play since there’s other variables that need to be considered.

Here’s what we’ve thought so far for OPC play.  If you have other ideas/suggestions, please let us know.  This topic will also be discussed at the fall meeting.

OPCs

1.  There will be two divisions, and you must declare which division you want to play in.  A member will be able to change which division they want to play in only once during the year with a few stipulations that will be spelled out later.

    a.  White Division:  Green, Green/White, White tees

    b.  Gold Division:  White/Gold, Gold, Gold/Silver (currently on Silver, not yet established on the Blue) tees

2.  Players do not have to declare tees.  Players can select which tees they want to play within their division on the Golf Genius mobile app on the day of the OPC.  You can change tees each week as long as your tee selection remains within your division.

3.  Equal size flights are created inside of the divisions using handicap indexes.

4.  Net skins will be played within the division and optional gross skins across the field.
